About the Beach
What is Praia do Barranco Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Vila do Bispo.
Praia do Barranco Beach presents a medium sized and wide sand, located in a large valley.
The waters are calm due to the shelter provided by the cliffs ends that form a bay. At the entrance there's a small unprotected dune system where the Ribeira de Benaçoitão1 empties.
The access is via a dirt road, heading 4,6 Km to south, starting at Raposeira village.
