About the Beach

What is Praia do Caneiro Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Sintra.

Praia do Caneiro Beach has a sand with medium dimensions flanked by very high and steep scarps.
The small cove where the beach is inserted provides calm sea waters and shelter from the wind.
If one wishes to admire the views, follow by Estrada Municipal 599 bounding Almoçageme village to the coast. From here, there's a dirt road heading south for about 900 meters. If one wishes to make use of the bathing area, it's needed to get a boat for accessing the sand.
