About the Beach
What is Praia dos Beijinhos Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Póvoa de Varzim.
Praia dos Beijinhos Beach acquired this name due to the mollusks that one may find here, with the seashells lip-shaped, commonly known by "Beijinhos" (in Portuguese means, "Little Kisses").
The sand of small dimensions belongs to the urban sea front of Póvoa de Varzim city.
This beach is protected to the north and south by rock formations which provide calmer sea waters.
The parking lot of the municipal pool Piscina Varzim Lazer1 serves also as support to the beach.
Access is granted via Rua do Alto de Martins Vaz2 or if coming from south, by Rua do Varzim Sport Clube3.
