About the Beach

What is Praia do Cão Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Odemira.

Praia do Cão Beach has a sand of small dimensions that gets fully immersed during high tide.
On top of the cliff, the dune system is pretty long and wide.
The access is done north of Cavaleiro village, coming from Estrada Municipal 11221 by a dirt road that turns west and crosses several farm fields before arriving the dunes.
