About the Beach
What is Praia da Franquia Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Odemira.
Praia da Franquia Beach or Praia de Vila Nova de Milfontes Beach, as a very long sand during low tide. However, when the tide is high, its area gets nearly reduced to half.
The beach is located in the sea front of Vila Nova de Milfontes town and belongs to the Rio Mira1 mouth by the north side.
The waters are extremely calm, due to the protection of the river mouth.
This beach is very crowded by families and water sports lovers.
