About the Beach
What is Praia Nova Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Nazaré.
Praia Nova Beach has a very thin strip of sand. It was called so ("Nova" means "New", in Portuguese) because it formed very quickly in the year of 2013, to locals surprise.
Large rocks on the cliff bottom are clear signals of its instability.
The walking cross since Praia da Nazaré Beach until Praia do Norte Beach is already a reality. Now, being able to touch the famous Pedra do Guilhim1 in front of the Forte de São Miguel Arcanjo2 and the Farol da Nazaré3, it's possible to the less fearful ones.
