Viewpoint of Jardim do Torel

The Viewpoint of Jardim do Torel expands its perspective to the Colina de São Roque¹, from the Colina de Sant'Ana² where it is located.

Coming out of the Campo Mártires da Pátria, in the parish of Santo António, towards the gate of the Jardim do Torel³, we enter into a green space, very wooded and well taken care of. Descending to the garden's limit, there are several wooden benches to gaze the landscape close to the railing of the viewpoint.

Between us and the hill on the opposite side where is the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, we see the treetops over Avenida da Liberdade⁴ that stretches from Praça dos Restauradores until Praça Marquês de Pombal⁵.

To the right, we find an enormous group of trees beating the housing in size. They belong to the Jardim Botânico de Lisboa⁶.

The reduced height that the viewpoint has, restrains the view to other places of the Colina de São Roque¹ but the environment that inspires who visits it is quite appeaser and tranquilizer.
