Viewpoint Of Capela de São Jerónimo

Just outside of Capela or Ermida de São Jerónimo¹ next to the Praça de Itália² in Belém³, is the Viewpoint of Capela de São Jerónimo protected by dense vegetation and tall trees.

Gravel, grass and some wooden benches make up the church’s space destined for observation, but make no mistakes if you intend to use this site as a viewpoint. The grove makes it nearly impossible to sight more than the Torre de Belém⁴ and some other Almada’s coastal areas such as Trafaria and Cova do Vapor.

Highly influenced by religious presence of the chapel, this viewpoint can be preferably used as place to find peace and emotional tranquillity rather than a contemplative landscape.
