Museum of Children

The (in portuguese, Museu das Crianças) was create with the intuit of developing the cultural and artistic perceptions the little ones. It opened doors in March of 1994 at the facilities of the Museu de Marinha. The first exhibition aimed at a theme always very trendy for children, fear.

In 2005 the Children's Museum changed facilities and reopened at the perfect place, the Jardim Zoológico de Lisboa! Were gathered the advantageous conditions for all children to enjoy a well spent day.

The interactive exhibition Vermelho...uma viagem através da cor is currently available to visitors and allows the performing of a pedagogical game that emerges the meanings attributed to the red color in different contexts by the society. Exist still other items like the Hora do Conto or Era uma vez...a Ciência that complement the exhibition.

The facilities of the Children's Museum are able to be the spot for anniversary parties and other kind of events, always subject to previous appointment.
