About the Beach

What is Praia Grande (Sul) Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Lagoa.

Praia Grande (South) Beach is located at the 1 mouth by the east side. It has a very small sand full of fallen rocks from the cliff that are immerse during high tide.
The sea waters are quiet in the inner side of the river bar.
The access is through the neighbor sands, preferably during low tide.
From this beach, 2 and its boats can be sighted.
