It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Ílhavo.

Praia Velha Beach, integrated in Praia da Barra Beach, is part of the 1 mouth by the south margin. It is also known by Praia do Farol da Barra Beach.
The very extensive sand is flanked a small pier to the north and a much longer one to the south with about 900 meters length.
In the central area arises majestic the biggest beacon of , the 2.
This beach is very attended by the guests of Parque de Campismo da Praia da Barra3.
Access is done by multiple points, including via ferry boat.
