About the Beach

What is Praia da Vigia Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Grândola.

Praia da Vigia Beach has a very long sand of about 2,4 Km.
The dune system is vast to the point of losing its sight to east. Besides providing an excellent view over Lagoa de Melides1, the cliff top also serves paragliders as a launch runway.
Access is done via Estrada Regional 2612, turning to west and following along the lagoon north margin.
