About the Beach
What is Praia da Costinha Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Figueira da Foz.
Praia da Costinha Beach presents a very extensive sand with about 7,8 Km, bathed by an agitated sea.
During heavy rainfall, a stream is formed a little more than 400 meters north from the wooden walkway accessing the sand.
To the east lies the Mata Nacional das Dunas de Quiaios1 complementing this idyllic setting, untouched by man.
This isolated beach is the ideal place for those seeking peace or practice naturism.
Access is granted by exiting Intinerário Complementar 12 to west, passing by Lagoa das Braças3 and following to the forest interior.
The dirt road is in very poor condition and the distance is still great.
