About the Beach
What is Praia da Foz do Minho Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Caminha.
Praia da Foz do Minho Beach also known as Praia de Caminha Beach, stretching for about 1,2 Km, is the most northern oceanic beach in Portugal.
It's part of the
Rio Minho
1 mouth by the south margin, having a river front in the north area, and is located close to the border with Spain.
Nature lovers have the chance to enjoy the beauty of the Mata Nacional do Camarido2 that complements this fantastic scenery.
From here one can sight the Forte da Ínsua3 that rises imposing on the Ínsua de Santo Isidro4 400 meters from the shore.
