About the Beach
What is Praia de São Jacinto Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Aveiro.
Praia de São Jacinto Beach has a broad and very extensive sand with about 3,1 Km.
Located in the southern end of a peninsula with 25 Km length, this shoreline finds on the opposite side the Ria de Aveiro1.
To the south the beach, inserted in the Reserva Natural das Dunas de São Jacinto2, is bounded by a pier that's part of the ria bar. It is very much sought by people who practice surf.
The access is done through São Jacinto or by crossing the ria via ferry boat.
