It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Almada.

Praia da Morena Beach has a reasonably extensive sand which gets wider in front of the beach bar. It belongs to Medos geographic unit. The dune system goes along its whole length and sea conditions are usually rough.
The low tide creates several lagoons and puddles ideal for children playing in safety.
The beach is very attended by families and surfers.
This is the train stop number 14 of the , a mini train serving passengers to this part of the shore.
