About the Beach
What is Praia de Odeceixe (Mar) Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Aljezur.
Praia de Odeceixe (Sea) Beach has an extensive and large sand, located 3 Km west from Odeceixe village. At north, empties the Ribeira de Seixe1.
This is the most northern beach of all Algarve. It's flanked by cliffs.
The vacationers can choose where to bath, since the river has enough flow to be a valid alternative.
When the tide is emptying, it's necessary to take precautions in order to avoid the strong currents, specially where the stream mouth meets the Atlantic Ocean.
