About the Beach
What is Praia da Bordeira Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Aljezur.
Praia da Bordeira Beach, also known as Praia da Carrapateira Beach, presents a wide and very long sand of about 1,1 Km. It has also a thin strip of sand of about 2 Km long, extending north that gets highlighted during low tide and is known as Praia da Pedra de Matez Beach.
Nearby there's a coral reef that gets special attention from diving lovers.
This beach is the place where the Ribeira da Bordeira1 empties. South, lies the beginning of the Pontal da Carrapateira.
The access is granted by following Estrada Nacional 2682, coming from Carrapateira village.
