About the Beach
What is Praia de Vale Pardo Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Alcobaça (North).
Praia de Vale Pardo Beach discloses a very lengthy strip of sand - with about 1 Km - flanked by the sea and a long cliff. It acquired this name due to the deposition of sediments brought from the valley by rainwater that attach to sand, creating a brown pattern ("Pardo" in Portuguese means "with brown spots").
Resembling to the north neighboring beach, the cliff contains several freshwater springs.
The access is done via Estrada Oceânica Sul1, turning west through a dirt road about 1,7 Km from Falca village.
