It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia.

Praia de Canide (North) Beach, likewise Praia da Sereia da Costa Verde, is also known as Praia de Canidelo (North) Beach. It presents an extensive and very broad sand, bounded south by a pier separating it from the neighbor beach.
The dune system is well preserved and in some areas is protected by wooden fences.
Access to the beach is done by wooden walkways and a sandy trail coming from Avenida Beira Mar1. This avenue has a bicycle lane.
