What is Praia da Mareta Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Vila do Bispo.

Praia da Mareta Beach has a very extensive sand that gets reduced to a very thin strip during high tide. It's located in the middle of the Baía de Sagres1. At east it's bounded by the Ponta da Atalaia.
Far away to the west may be sighted the 2, on top of the .
This beach is attended by diving enthusiasts.
The access is via Estrada Nacional 2683, crossing Sagres town to the southern end.
