It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Torres Vedras.

Praia de Santa Rita (South) Beach presents a wide and very long sand of about 1,2 Km.
The cliff with a dune system on its top, extends into the south, bringing to visitors a worthy view scenery. Here, a rocky tip of the cliff interrupts the sand and acts as a natural boundary.
Surf enthusiasts seek many times for this beach because of its rough sea conditions.
Access is done via Avenida Dr. Joaquim Jacinto1, near Santa Rita village.
