It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Torres Vedras.

Praia das Amoeiras Beach has a very extensive strip of sand whose south part is known as Praia da Varandinha Beach, according to the Plano de Ordenamento da Orla Costeira Alcobaça-Mafra. It is located in the sea front of Casais das Amoreiras village.
Immersed rocky formations in bathing area are a constant and, in days of stronger sea, the waves may arrive very rough on shore.
There are various places to car park along the cliff and the way down to the beach is done by a dirt road.
