About the Beach
What is Praia do Inferno Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Sesimbra.
Praia do Inferno Beach, also known as Praia da Tranca Beach, is comprised by several pebbles and boulders of considerable size. It's located in a slightly pronounced cove, south of Azóia village.
The seabed is rich in biology and geologic events, attracting scuba diving enthusiasts.
It is extremely difficult to access the bottom of the scarp where the beach is, therefore, the best way to get there is via sea.
