About the Beach
What is Praia do Areia do Mastro Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Sesimbra.
Praia do Areia do Mastro Beach or Praia do Mastro Beach displays a land base made of pebbles and rocks. During low tide emerges a thin strip of sand at seaside.
This beach is located in a cove filled with vegetation on its top.
The Ribeira dos Caixeiros1 meets the Atlantic Ocean at this site.
Access to the top of the cliff is done by a dirt road that begins between Casais de Azóia village and the Cabo Espichel2 and follows about 1,9 Km to north from Estrada Nacional 3793. In order to bath you need to access the beach by sea.
