About the Beach

What is Praia do Monte Velho Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém.

Praia do Monte Velho Beach, also known as Praia do Porto das Carretas Beach, has a very long white sand of about 1,8 Km. It has a dune system between 1 at north and 2 at south, peripheral to 3.
The vegetation grows in height as one follows east, heading the pinewood.
The access is done through a tarred road that ends in a large open area used as a car parking.
