What is Praia da Salgueira Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Póvoa de Varzim.
Praia da Salgueira Beach got this name for being situated where once was the place of Salgueira.
An extensive sand together with the absence of rocks, are two important features that please bathers.
This beach is very attended by water sports practitioners, especially local surfers, due to the stirred sea and to the inexistence of rocks in the water.
The access is done by exiting Estrada Nacional 131, turning into Rua Serpa Pinto2 and following straight until Avenida dos Banhos3.
