About the Beach
What is Praia do Castelo do Queijo Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Porto.
Praia do Castelo do Queijo Beach got this name because the Castelo do Queijo or Forte de São Francisco Xavier do Queijo1 was erected here. The castle was called like this because was built on a rock resembling a round cheese.
This beach has a bit extensive sand, marked by many rocks along the seaside.
Further north, empties piped the Ribeira do Aldoar2.
The access is done via Praça de Gonçalves Zarco3.
