About the Beach
What is Praia de Boião Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Portimão.
Praia de Boião Beach is located less than 300 meters south from the Boião urbanization and west from Praia do Barranco das Canas Beach.
This beach less known is comprised by three small sandy areas arranged along Ponta de João de Arens which may be reached during low tide or resorting to a vessel. Due to accessibility factors, it is common to find some naturists looking for a more secluded location, when comparing with the east neighbor beaches.
The seafront is a must see beauty, filled by an armada of rocks emerging from the sea. The shallow waters, populated by rock masses that abound with marine life, are very frequently the preferred target of snorkeling enthusiasts.
