About the Beach

What is Praia do Burdo Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Odemira.

Praia do Burdo Beach presents a sand of medium size, plenty of pebbles and rocks. At the central area there's a big rock highlighted from the remaining.
Due to the several immersed rocks, the sea is kind of rough and full of foam.
This is a remote beach and those who don't have an all terrain vehicle, will have to walk about 2,8 Km from the Porto das Barcas1.
