About the Beach

What is Praia de Covões Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Óbidos.

Praia dos Covões Beach, also known as Praia da Cova do Covão Beach, is situated at north part of Praia D'el Rey Golf & Beach Resort.
The long sand gets a bit darker when mingled with rough sea waters.
On the cliff top a wonderful view over the landscape awaits the visitors of this beach.
Access is done by Itinerário Principal 61, exiting to west near Serra D'el Rei village and passing by Casais do Mestre Mendes village.
