It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Leiria.

Praia do Pedrogão (South) Beach got this name due to the large rock formation with nearly 370 meters length that separates it from the north neighbor beach. It displays a very extensive sand of about 1,2 Km.
There's a picnic park and leisure infrastructures for children in the northern area.
The Mata Nacional do Pedrogão1 and a very long dune string at sea front are landscape elements of extreme beauty.
