About the Beach

What is Praia do Barranquinho Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Lagoa.

Praia do Barranquinho Beach presents a rare typology, because the extension of sand between the beach access and the sea is almost twice the length of its whole shoreline. A few dozens of meters away from the sea, a massive islet stands as the sea waters keeper.
The pine trees on the cliff top, bring natural joy to the eyes of those who have ventured here. Nearby at east, there's a cave complex.
The beach is attended by naturists and by those who prefer a quiet day.
Access is achieved via a dirt trail.
