It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Lagoa.

Praia de Benagil Beach has a medium sized sand, flanked by high cliffs.
There are small vessels typical from this beach at the disposal of tourists who want to visit the sea grottos known in Portuguese as "Algares".
The access is done by the west side where the cliff breaks into a small valley.
