It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Ílhavo.

Praia da Costa Nova (South) Beach belongs to the sea front of Bairro dos Pescadores in Costa Nova do Prado1.
The very extensive sand is marked in the ends by two piers.
In the north part of the beach arises the Capela de Nossa Senhora da Saúde2, on the dunes near the beacon.
The access to the bathing area is done by a walkways network, protecting the dune system.
