About the Beach

What is Praia da Raposa Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Grândola.

Praia da Raposa Beach, also known as Praia do Pinheiro da Cruz Beach, presents a long sand of about 2,1 Km.
The sea waters are calm and of a light blue color.
This remote beach is frequently used for military exercises. Its access belongs to Pinheiro da Cruz prison, therefore, is restricted to authorized personnel only. Those who enjoy of a long seaside walking can try to access it from the neighbor beaches.
