About the Beach

What is Praia da Cova Gala (Sul) Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Figueira da Foz.

Praia da Cova Gala (South) Beach, also known as Praia do Campismo Beach, presents a very lengthy sand of about 1,2 Km. The main feature at this place are the forest and high dunes.
This beach is often frequented by the guests of Parque de Campismo de Gala1.
the best access is done through the campsite, beside Itinerário Complementar 12, by asking permission to cross it at reception. If one's lucky enough, the western gate will be opened. Otherwise, the most suitable alternative is to go until Cova Gala village, heading on the sand to south direction.
