It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Cascais.

Praia do Tamariz Beach is located in front of Jardim do Estoril1, beside the iconic Casino Estoril2.
Its extensive sand is bounded by two piers at its ends: a smaller one at west and other with about 100 meters long that extends into the sea at east.
The Piscina Oceânica do Tamariz3 is within a walking distance to the east.
There is a rock formation in the very center of the beach and several submerged rocks hidden from the sight of bathers that inspire attention.
This was the first Portuguese beach rising the in 1987.
