About the Beach
What is Praia do Moinho Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Cascais.
Praia do Moinho Beach, also known as Praia da Mó Beach, owns a small sand with the shape of a seashell. It's sheltered from the wind from all directions, except south.
The entrance in the water is hampered by rocky formations here existent.
Access to the bathing area is easier in the central area.
At south, the stunning Forte de São Julião da Barra1 bounds the beach.
This is the border place between Cascais and Oeiras counties.
