About the Beach
What is Praia do Castelo Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Almada.
Praia do Castelo Beach has an extensive sand, wider in the central area, beside the beach bar. It's inserted in Acácias geographic unit.
At east, dunes and the greenish woods stand out on the wonderful landscape.
This beach is characterized for its young crowd and often sought by surf fans.
Here lies train stop number 11 of the Transpraia, a small train used with the purpose of transporting passengers along the coastline.
Beside the access, on the Estrada Florestal1 berm, a habitation similar to a small castle gave the name to this beach, according to locals.
