About the Beach
What is Praia de Apúlia (Norte) Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Esposende.
Praia de Apúlia (North) Beach integrates the urban sea front of Apúlia town.
The sand is extensive and the south part of the beach is more sheltered from typical northern winds of this region due to being faced to soutwest.
On dunes top there are five windmills bringing a rustic touch to the landscape.
At center empties the Ribeira da Lagoa1, flowing into the sea, where several rocks await bathers by seaside.
Access is available along Avenida Marginal de Cedovém2
This beach is integrated in the Parque Natural do Litoral Norte4.
